Case study – Clear Design

Built right.
Staying right.

Clear Design didn’t come to PlatinumEdge with a broken extension — they came before one could become a problem. The goal was to build something right from the start, and stay visible to the designers already working in CET every day.

The challenge

Not a broken extension
— a missed opportunity.
Before CET, Clear Design ran on CAP 2020 and Giza — the standard tools at the time. But as more manufacturers established a real presence in CET, Configura was pulling ahead with dealers, and staying off the platform meant becoming less visible to designers already using it every day. The goal wasn’t to fix something broken — it was to build something right from the start, before falling behind became a real problem.
The solution
Distinct to Clear Design, familiar to every designer.

Clear Design came to us through a recommendation from Configura, back when both companies were considerably smaller. Since 2019, we’ve built and refined an extension around the designer’s actual experience — automated quoting, intelligent bill-of-materials generation, and design logic that stops mistakes before they happen — while keeping it distinct to Clear Design yet familiar to designers moving between manufacturers.

Because we work inside the same ecosystem our clients design in, we offer more than technical execution: honest guidance on what works and what designers actually expect.

The results

Orders created in CET

Day one

Catalog update visibility

Roughly 80% of Clear Design’s orders are now created in CET, and the extension is treated internally as a given — for a systems product like theirs, it’s close to a prerequisite with dealers.

We enhanced order exports to include additional information for designers and project managers, cutting manual work on Clear Design’s end, and new catalog updates roll out through the extension with day-one visibility. Feedback has been predominantly positive, and when an issue does come up, we’re quick to resolve it.

In their words

It's hard to understand how we did business without it.

“You’re working with a high-integrity, highly competent team. Tim is very clear about what will work and what won’t — and he’s kept the DNA of the company intact as it’s grown.”

“If you’re going to have a systems product, you need a proper extension. It’s a prerequisite, really, for dealers.”
